Softline again is Great Place To Work Certified!
29 September, 2021 - Great Place to Work Nederland examines the degree of trust, pride and pleasure within organisations. Based on the results of the employee survey and the analysis of the organisational culture, it is assessed whether the criteria for good employment practices have been met. Only organisations that achieve the required scores on both components may immediately bear the title Great Place to Work Certified.
“The past year and a half has been a challenging period for everyone, both professionally as well as on a personal level. I am therefore very proud that we can again call ourselves a "Great Place to Work" during this period in which every team member has worked from home a full 100%. I am very happy that we are certified for the second year in a row! The challenge we now face together is defining a new normal. A new balance between working from home, working in the office and on location with customers, where we hold on to our company culture and values.", says Dennis Montanje, Managing Director Softline Group Northern Europe.
René Brouwers, director of Great Place to Work Netherlands: "Being a good employer is the way to organisational success - that is the belief of Great Place to Work Netherlands. Organisations that have a culture of trust, pride and pleasure perform better. To excel in this area is an achievement, an achievement to be proud of and an achievement that deserves attention.” Brouwers about the research: "We ask employees' opinions on five values: credibility, respect, honesty, pride and companionship. Those values are linked to performance. We apply this approach worldwide in 60 countries at more than 7,000 organisations.”

Your first working day at Softline
We think it is very important that, as a new colleague, you feel welcome within our organisation and that you end up in a warm bath. The welcoming process starts right after signing your employment contract. We will then immediately take you on an introduction round within the organisation.
On your first working day you will receive a welcome package containing important things to get off to a good start, such as an access tag for the office, laptop, smartphone, notebook, pen and dopper. The laptop has been prepared by our IT colleagues, so you can get off to a flying start.
After opening your mailbox, an e-mail from your manager is waiting for you with an extensive welcoming program. This program starts with a meeting with our Managing Director, Dennis, followed by introductions with all “blood groups” within our organisation. From marketing to sales, from business to technical consultants and from human resources to operations. The emphasis will of course be on the work that you will be performing. In addition to the introductions, you will start with the necessary training and extensive knowledge transfer for the fulfilment of your new job. Between all the formal introductions and knowledge transfer, there are coffee and lunch breaks during which you are given ample space to get to know all new colleagues on a personal level.
